Let's say you wanted to reduce the menu size of the navigation bar on your SuiteCommerce webstore without eliminating the subcategories in your respective commerce categories.
Edit SuiteCommerce Category Navigation Menu Levels
To solve this, navigate to the Configuration Record by clicking Commerce > Website List > Configuration. (Orange boxes in the above screenshot)
Select the site and domain, select the Integrations Tab, and the Categories subtab. There, you will see a text box with the field label “Category Navigation Menu Level Deepness” with a value of “3”. (Green box in the above screenshot)
Edit this field to the value of “1”. This refers to the first level of commerce category surfacing in the store.
Save the Configuration Record and perform a cache invalidation request on the site.
Finally, commit a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R) on your webstore; the navigation menu should not show any levels.
Sorting Commerce Categories on a SuiteCommerce Site
A helpful tip on this subtab is that you can easily sort how your commerce categories surface on the webstore.
By utilizing the “Menu > Sort By” drop-down (teal in the first screenshot), you can organize your commerce categories by the fields on the commerce category records. Natively, the commerce categories are sorted by sequence number.
